Groups Led by Speech Language Pathologists
Does your child need to work on social skills?
​
Enroll them in 1.5 hour weekly groups on Fridays in July at the Shelton Community Center. All groups are led by speech language pathologists. Please choose a group based on your child's needs. We will split into small groups based on age and information obtained from the intake form.

8:30-10 am
Calm Club:
This club is best for students who are working on basic emotions and basic conversation skills.
We will work on identifying emotions and practice strategies to deal with them.

10:30-12 pm

Gaming Club:
This club is best for students who are working on conversation skills like turn taking, staying on topic, and keeping the conversation going.
We will work on joining, initiating and playing indoor and outdoor recess games.

12:30-2 pm
Party Plan Club:
This club is best for students who are working on perspective taking and how to work in a group.
We will strengthen our executive function and social skills as we work as a group to plan a celebration for our last session.
